Clarion have been working with the local community to ensure the regeneration of Ravensbury provides opportunities for local people. Local residents have participated in sports sessions, apprenticeships and employment training.
Summer of Fun – A Summer of Activities in Merton
Clarion residents enjoyed a fantastic programme of free summer activities across the London Borough of Merton, bringing families and people of all ages together throughout the summer holidays.
From archery and sports sessions to arts and crafts workshops and music events, there was something for everyone to enjoy at locations across the borough.
The programme ran from Thursday 30 July to Friday 28 August, offering residents a range of opportunities to get active, get creative and make the most of the summer holidays.
Residents' first look
Ravensbury residents are viewing their brand-new homes for the first time. The first residents stepped inside their future forever homes, marking a major milestone in the second phase of the regeneration.
The final work on the properties and the landscaping is underway and there is a real sense of excitement as the residents prepare to move in.
We’re looking forward to welcoming residents into their new homes and marking the beginning of this next chapter at Ravensbury.
Get Digital!
Join a digital drop-in session in Merton to learn how to use the internet safely and get more from your mobile phone. Clarion Futures works with Merton Empowerment CIC to offer informal group and one-to-one sessions to help residents boost their online confidence. Drop by Canons House in Mitcham (CR4 4HD) on Tuesdays for a chat, a cup of tea, and update your digital skills.

Green Links
The regeneration of Ravensbury will provide the community with improved access to existing green network links, by softening the border with the River Wandle. We are currently also exploring the opportunity to create a new pedestrian footpath connection between the site and River Wandle Trail.
Employment and training
As part of the ‘social value’ offer for the regeneration, the main contractor is sponsoring a number of jobs and training opportunities. These are available to residents on the estate, you can find out about current opportunities below.
Supporting sport in the community
Regeneration provides more than new homes for residents, we are also investing in the community. Recently, we supported a 10-week boxing course for school children. Around 10 Year 9 pupils attended the boxing sessions after school where they learnt about the discipline of the sport and improved their health and wellbeing.
