Brickwork

With a strong foundation in place, the team can now begin assembling the brickwork. This is a phase with lots of activity on the site. For the first time, the project will rise from ground level. Now that the important envelope structure is complete, the team can begin to raise the scaffold, and the steel frame system which will be used during the brickwork. Before the team can begin laying the bricks and mortar, there are a few more steps to take.

Raising the scaffold

Taking great care, the team will build a temporary framework in order to complete the brickwork from the ground to the first floor and above.
Steel frame system
Start September 2024Expected to end December 2024
In this form of construction, the next step is the installation of a steel frame. This frame will allow the team to begin the brickwork and make the building weatherproof.
Raising the scaffold and first-floor brickwork

At this stage, scaffolding is erected to provide safe access for workers to the first floor. This temporary structure supports the bricklayers as they begin constructing the first-floor walls. As the walls rise, scaffolding is adjusted to maintain safe working conditions, ensuring precision and safety throughout the process.

At this stage, scaffolding is erected to provide safe access for workers to the second floor. This temporary structure supports the bricklayers as they begin constructing the second-floor walls. Raising the scaffold and third-floor cladding

External doors

At this stage the team will install the external doors. With the Brickwork and flooring complete, the next step is the roof work.
